Holding Standards

Dear self,

Shared standards against

hypocrisy and disappointment

To hold others to a standard, but excuse yourself for convenience or gratification is hypocrisy.

You get no where and your word means nothing to others.

To hold yourself to a standard, but excuse others for their convenience or gratification is disillusionment.

Despite your own development and reputation, you are alone and everyone is a disappointment.

To hold others to a standard, and hold it to yourself with vigor is honorable, and holds the opportunity for shared burden, success, and good company.

Letters to Self is a conveying of divinely inspired observations of my own human condition, or spiritual nudges, as I refer to them.

I have felt a calling to create conversations in order to literate these spiritual nudges as they come.

These nudges begin as a gift of understanding, yet they are unexplainable. To make them coherent, I must take this unspoken wisdom and define it in human language, so that I may better head it, but also share it.
